When we moved to Denver we hired a friend who was a new realtor to help us buy our house. We mistakenly thought it didn't matter how much experience our realtor had as "they really just unlock doors". BIG mistake! After some bad advice, we ended up in a terrible situation and lost over $3,000 when we had to back out at the last minute.
